Sergei’s research interests are behavioral and experimental economics, growth and cultural economics, comparative development and political economy. His current research addresses questions of how incentives shape people’s subjective beliefs. His research overall focuses on cultural differences between and within populations, cultural persistence and change, historical origins of institutions and development.
