Predoctoral Training Program Admission
The PSTC offers a training program in population studies for predoctoral students in affiliated departments, including Anthropology, Economics, Sociology, and Public Health. A PSTC affiliation provides predoctoral students with mentorship and funding opportunities for research and fieldwork. Graduate students must apply to the training program and reapply annually each spring to maintain membership.

In addition to mentoring from PSTC faculty associates, selected coursework, and administrative and funding support, the Center offers wide exposure to the field and leading scholars via colloquia and special speaker series, working groups, workshops, and professionalization opportunities.
Alumni Placement Record
With an excellent placement record, graduating trainees are hired into both academic and private sector positions. Recent placements include Boston College, Brown University, Columbia University, NYU Abu Dhabi, UCLA, Vanderbilt University, Ford Motor Company, RTI International, and World Bank.
