Biography
María’s research is focused on economic history with an emphasis on Latin America. She is currently exploring the effects of radio education in the mid-twentieth century and its interaction with the formal school system. She is also interested in the long-run effects of migration on social capital and political participation. Before pursuing her PhD, María was involved in research projects around economic growth and tax policy.
