Macy’s broad interests include family, work, gender, and education. Her research focus is on families and care work (paid and unpaid), with her current project examining variation in time spent on childcare among parents, specifically looking at how parents who perform paid care work in their occupation might differ in their performance of unpaid care work (namely, childcare) at home.
