Celebrating PSTC staff

In 2020, we celebrated two staff milestones: Tom Alarie's 25 years working at PSTC, and Sue Silveira's retirement.

This fall we celebrated milestones for two long-time PSTC staff members, Tom Alarie, on 25 years at PSTC, and Sue Silveira, on her retirement after ten years.

Tom, the Finance and Administration Manager, first joined PSTC in 1995. He reflected, "Being part of the PSTC for the past 25 years has allowed me to view the world through the eyes of the researchers and students we support, often in ways I would never have imagined. This has had a profound impact on my growth as a person. I am blessed to be part of such a wonderful organization and appreciate that I've had so many positive relationships with faculty, students and staff.

Sue joined the PSTC in 2010 and retired as the Administrative and Financial Coordinator. She commented that she loved helping people and was happy to do work that made a difference. In particular, she enjoyed organizing the colloquia logistics and meeting the visiting speakers.

Thank you and congratulations, Tom and Sue!
