PSTC faculty associate Oded Galor, Professor of Economics, was recently awarded a Doctor Honoris Causa degree from Poznań University of Economics and Business in Poznań, Poland in recognition of his development of Unified Growth Theory and for his pioneering research on Evolutionary Growth Theory. At the ceremony, he gave a lecture entitled “Roots of Inequality in the Wealth of Nations.”
In addition, he delivered this talk at the university-wide Copernican Lecture attended by nearly 500 researchers at Nicolaus Copernicus University in Toruń, Poland.
Galor's work has been influential in building economists' understanding of the relationship between inequality, growth and human evolution.
