Belen Sanchez Mathews is a rising sophomore from Arlington, Massachusetts, concentrating in International & Public Affairs on the Development Track and pursuing a Certificate in Data Fluency. At Brown, Belen is the Treasurer of the Jabberwocks a cappella group and a Leader in the Brown Outing Club, and next year she will be working as a Meiklejohn Peer Advisor. Her research interests include Latin American politics, cross-cultural identities, and social and political determinants of health. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Providence’s coffee shops, running down the East Bay Bike Path, and sewing.
