This year, the PSTC offers summer research awards in two categories:
1. Mellon Award for Anthropological Demography
Mellon Awards support fieldwork research relevant to anthropological demography. The award amount is generally in the range of $2,500 to $5,000.
2. Summer Award to Promote Population Research Projects
Funds are available to support progress on research projects or papers, including research travel, data acquisition, data collection, or skill training. The award amount is generally in the range of $500 to $1,200. Research that falls into one of the PSTC’s primary research areas, or that advances funded research conducted through the PSTC, is given priority.
Please follow the application instructions below:

Applications will be reviewed by the PSTC Associate Director, with consultation requested from the PSTC Training Committee or faculty associates in cases in which the Associate Director is unable to judge the merit of the proposal.
