PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – Building and applying skills in Geographic Information Systems and spatial analysis are the focus of the semi-annual GIS Institute slated for May 22-June 2. The Institute, open to all Brown students, faculty, researchers, and staff, will cover theory and practice through lectures, tutorials, invited speakers, and an applied research project. Registration is now open with rolling acceptance beginning April 17. Apply early as the Institute has limited space and often fills.
