PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – The recent BIARI Beyond Brown gathering, Migrations in the Americas, took place at El Colegio de México,where PSTC alumna Silvia Giorguli serves as president. Giorguli and Professor of Sociology David Lindstrom were co-conveners for the event. Professor of Anthropology and Director of BIARI Matthew Gutmann was also in attendance.

BIARI México brought together young academics and professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean to address the study of migration, migratory patterns, the implications of migration, and public policies in the region. The event received coverage by Terra.
