PROVIDENCE, R.I. [Brown University] – The Brown International Advanced Research Institutes (BIARI) are going global. Traditionally held on campus for scholars from around the world to address pressing global issues, the program is now also expanding to off-campus locations. In January 2017, BIARI México, "Migration in the Americas," will take place in Mexico City with Professor of Sociology David Lindstrom and former PSTC Trainee Silvia Giorguli serving as coordinators. The event will take place at El Colegio de México where Giorguli is president. 

Early-career scholars and practitioners from Latin America, the Caribbean, and the United States are invited to apply. The call has been extended until October 21.
